Alright guys now that you've had em' for awhile, what do you think about the xmr?
Would you buy again? How does it ride? Any real problems?

Just turning 1000kms on mine. After adjusting the shocks it rides awesome. I would buy again in a heart beat. Only issue was the crappy warn winch, i switched to superwinch terra and so has can am on the 17 models. The silverbacks are rough riding on trails bumpy/rocky trails. The low gear is amazing when the going gets tough. High still hauls ass. 0 regrets here.

About 1200 miles on my 2017, issues, outer tie rod joints replaced, brakes replaced at 980 miles they were metal to metal. On last ride the water pump started leaking from the weep hole on the water pump. I have a new pump seal kit waiting on myself to do it. All minor issues to me. Oh, had to replace the OEM belt at about 400 miles it was slipping for some reason. I serviced the one way bearing on the primary and installed new belt no issues since. Guess my only one complaint would be the that it has always been hard to shift it from low to high. I've tried adjusting the shift cable to spec as described in the factory service manual but no change. It has actually worn out the shift cable rubber seal on the Passanger side at the gearbox. I have a new cable when it desides to break.
Have no regrets with my 2017 XMR coming from my 2011 Commander with 12,000 miles on it. I still use my Commander on my property and it still runs like a top and shifts like butter compared to the XMR. We love both our Canam's and as far as maintenance goes I have always used Rotella T6 5w40 full synthetic and change all fluids in ft. Diff. Rear diff gearbox, and motor between 50 and 75 hours. Grease all joints after or before every ride. To add, Also right now my steering rack is getting alot of slack in it so thats on my list to replace or upgrade the bushings in it with Super Dave's derlin bushings. I run 87 Oct in the Commander and 93 Oct in the XMR since it says to. All good and ready to ride when this rain let's up.

I've got about 700 on mine under my ownership, about 2200 on it since new.
Unfortunately I think mine was pretty well abused for the first 1500 miles... I should have checked it out a bit more than I did but wanted to get out of the trade I had (a lifted h2 Hummer) because it was time to move on from that. Mine is great, even for as abused as it looks to have been. I've done general maintenance on it so far, I'll probably end up taking it in to the dealer for some good service again this spring. It needs bearings almost everywhere, the diffs both leak fluid, and the engine leaks oil out of it somewhere... It's had a new front axle on one side, and the winch cable was pretty short.
I love the machine, it is fast enough to get the adrenaline going, pulls down low strong, and rides great with the air ride. I have the can am hard case and the 3 semi hard case linq setups for different reasons and live both accessories. It's got an emp roof and shield that I end up taking off for the summer. The rear net is also nice, from can am.
Things I don't care for, how loud the cab is and how hot the cab gets. I could use some smoother riding tires too but they are mud tires so it is expected, the silverbacks are rougher but not noticeable once you get going fast enough. They will go once bald. The exhaust smell does get a bit irritating too, esp with the windshield on it. Once it's off for the summer, it's not noticeable anymore.
Things I hope do not happen- the compressor going out. That's really about it since it is pretty expensive. Other than that, I'd hate to see it blow but that's doubtful.
Overall, 8.5/10 rating lol. I'd love to have an x3 xmr but it's not in the cards.

There is and it is bad ass. I have an X3 XMR Turbo R and it is absurd. Regarding your hard shifting issues, I also have a 2013 Commander 1000 and it was a bitch to shift until I added WS2 to the gear box. It's tungsten disulfide powder and it is incredible stuff. I added it to the diffs as well on the Commander as I ditched the Crisco Lok for a Torque Locker and rear end noise and heat has gone down considerably. I ordered it through a company called Lower Friction as recommended by Troy on here and it was the second best mod to my Commander I did.
